Do’h! It is now officially a “word” and “quote”

August 27, 2007 – 11:01 am

Homer's Doh! entered Oxford English Dictionary in 2001, but this time they actually found some references as early as 1945.

Doh, or as my way of write this word, "Do'h!"    Expressing frustration at the realization that things have turned out badly or not as planned, or that one has just said or done something foolish. Also (usu. mildly derogatory): implying that another person has said or done something foolish (cf.DUH int.).

The word also entered Oxford Dictionary of Modern Quotations this time.

I think I may now try to use this word in everyday conversation.
