Well, this shit has been going on for years. Those Aussies know all too well how we Kiwis function, and they know how to play us. Every year, just about, some Aussie journalist stationed in NZ, before returning home at the end of his "tour of duty", writes some "parting shot" in which he shit-talks NZ, and the NZ press gets all upset and throws a hissy fit. This annual outrage was a regular feature of my childhood dating back as far as I can remember. I'm sure you've seen this happen in one form or another on many occasions. Only difference this time is it was two loser Aussie expats who couldn't even handle the trans-Tasman culture clash and so whinged on a blog. Simple fact is, and I say this as a loyal and proud Kiwi, that NZ is a very insecure and hypersensitive society, especially when Aussie opinions of our country are involved. Aiya....
