"Let's go shopping!"
4 May 2008 – 12:37 pmAn excellent video clip from the Green Party which tells you a lot of interesting stuffs about the food in your local supermarket.
There are some political messages at end of the clip, ignore them if you want.
Pro-china rally in Aotea Square today
27 April 2008 – 8:04 pmIf you don't know what I'm talking about, here's the news.
I do not held a point of view on this kind of events. We are living in a free country so everyone has the right to get on the street and make his/her voice heard.
However, I do have an opinion on people who put themselves into this Tibet debate and protest thing. Whether they are pro-china or pro-Tibet; it is in my opinion that people from both sides are fundamentally the same - extremist, ignorant, and both sides believe they are representing the holy truth - the only difference is that they have different religious belief.
If you thought Chinese are non-religious people, you sure need to know a lot more about this country.
Anyway, I still just enjoy to use my camera to record everything down.
Photos below are thumbnails... If you click on them in this webpage, you will see a larger size photo in lightbox; if you are reading this from a rss reader, you will see a new window with larger size photo.
New 2008 Beijing Olympics cartoon
30 October 2007 – 12:03 pmI felt unable to laugh on this one like the one before

It is unclear that who is the author of this cartoon therefore I'm unable to provide the original source.
I have a very grave concern about author's personal safety if he is living in China.
And this year's Nobel Peace Prize goes to...
13 October 2007 – 12:15 pmAl Gore and UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
I don't know Al Gore much apart from his film "An Inconvenience Truth". I was shocked to see that movie although most of the data he used in the film are very familiar to me already.
Critics said that his movie exaggerated the effects of Global Warming. Yep, maybe a little bit, but in my opinion, that's one of his important contribution to the Global Warming. If Gore didn't exaggerate a bit of the facts in the "acceptable range", many ignorant Americans would still think that Global Warming is a lie and they are god's children so they can to do whatever they want. Is it really a lie? Just to see how many American cities were suffered from unusual heat this year.
And if the god really exists, I believe Hurricane Katrina is God's punishment.
Anyway, he truely deserves the prize and should be congratulated.
It's just another site visit...
29 September 2007 – 9:47 pmThis one due next monday, it's the last major assignment .... before the "big group work one".
I don't want say which suburb is, that's for you to guess ... it's in Auckland though. Abundance of greens, nice terraced houses, but very unfriendly people. I was stopped by at least three peoplein one hour, they questioned and treated me like a thief or a foreign spy who got their personal secretes in the camera.
I think I'd better own a UoA shirt so next time when people start to think that they have captured a foreign spy, instead of endless explanations, I may just point them the university insignia on the shirt .
Apart from that spy thing, I quite like the style of houses there. Some terraced houses look really even you know that they are at least 30 years old.

There seems to be a lot of photos from this suburb on Wikipedia, so I didn't upload below ones there. Regular cc-by-nc-nd copyright still applies.
[Exclusive]Photos from last residence of the "Pumpkin", Qian Xun Xue, lived in New Zealand
18 September 2007 – 7:47 pmAs promised earlier, I visited the house where the "Pumpkin", the girl who was abandoned by her father in Australia lived late afternoon today.
Police now sealed the property and treated it as a crime scene because of the concerns on Pumpkin's mather, Ms Liu Anan's safety since she hasn't been seen for nearly a week now. Read more »
